I also like the focus on inquiry and how disciplinary literacy serves that inquiry. Learning about historical eve...I agree completely. Learning about historical events is important but reading/understanding the meaning behind the events is where we can engage civic action. I just started reading your blog but I would love to hear your thoughts about the new SS standards that are currently being written.
